On January 18, 2025, Bango Sammilani Samajik Sanstha, Kharghar—organized an inspiring charity event, "Shatobarsher Alokey Satyajit", dedicated to celebrating the cinematic genius of Satyajit Ray, at CIDCO Auditorium, Vashi. The event was aimed at raising funds to support cancer patients in need.

The evening was graced by the presence of Shree Sandip Ray, son of the legendary Satyajit Ray, along with his wife, Smt. Lalita Ray. Renowned Bengali theatre and television personalities Debshankar Haldar and Aparajita Adhya added to the grandeur, weaving together an enthralling narrative of Ray’s cinematic legacy. Acclaimed singer Subhamita Banerjee and legendary singer-songwriter Nachiketa Chakraborty captivated the audience with their soul-stirring performances, making it an unforgettable night.
